It's time to ride!!
The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is the public transit agency that citizens count on in Montgomery and parts of western Greene Counties.
RTA is Ohio’s greenest fleet, and operates diesel, hybrid diesel and electric trolley buses. There are over 3,000 stops on 25 routes throughout the region. All RTA buses include bike racks and all vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
Customers take more than 9 million trips each year. RTA is committed to providing the highest levels of customer service. A professional and dedicated workforce of over 600 employees is required to serve the transportation needs of the Miami Valley region in the most safe and reliable way possible.

RTA received the Triennial Review - Achievement of Excellence award from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019.
The Triennial Review is conducted every three years and includes an in-depth examination of 17 different areas, including safety and security, finance, asset management, Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, procurement, public participation requirements, and others.
During the review, the FTA will issue findings where a transit agency in not in compliance with federal regulations. Hundreds of findings are possible and during all three previous reviews RTA had no findings.
